Ugh.....

(Eyyyy...Finally my second Blog post, Happies!
Now then, on a less happy and more annoyed note..)

I need to lay something down here, i have been watching several series' of the anime 'Yu-gi-oh' and i must say i am appalled at how they presented a card game that has so much depth and tactical genious, that it could equal Magic the Gathering.
lets just point out that the main characters are always little kids who obviously have nothing better to do than to go around duelling people who want to take over the world with cards...makes sense..

I mean, stop and be realistic here..if you walked over to someone and said you were a...erm...i don't know..a Shadow Rider...or some shit like that, and you wanted to take over the world..and asked to duel. how would you react? i don't think everyone is carrying a deck in their side pocket..

Now the Natural reaction would be to call the police, there is a psychotic maniac trying to take over the world and trying to duel everyone he sees and send them to the 'Shadow Realm'. the Police arrive, he asks them to duel. they shoot. he dies.

There you have it...a simple conclusion like that saves a whole heap of bullshit plot turning out like..... 'A chosen LITTLE BOY with an egyptian connection playing a CARD GAME to save the world' i mean what the hell does a card game have to do with egypt?! and get this...there are apparently legendary 'God Cards' that have substantial power beyond our imagining... cards with a badass attitude.. i mean i appreciate the enthusiasm they've put into this but at least they could've given it more depth and less 'lets duel random people and save the world with cards that are alive' kinda thing.

(anyway enough of this utterly pointless ranting)

the main point is, 4kids Entertainment(The creator of the 'Yu-gi-oh' series and some other top shit classic cartoons) has downgraded a really enjoyable card game that can be played with strategy and countless possibilities
Most of you think 'Yu-gi-oh' is just..'I summon a monster...I attack...Oh no! a trap card! I lost...'
well, if you had stopped and actually checked the basis of any of the decks available, they have many cards which are, depending how they're used, can be constantly surprising the opponent, you can invent combos as you play, the game is really simple and yet has so much possibility!
and yet people portray this a 9-10 year old game..... as if they can play it with that much strategy..

So to confirm this, i had a little idea... James is willing to learn how to play, so i am going to teach him the basics of this game and see how he likes it, if he approves, then i was right...this game deserves more praise and less 'childsplay' stereotypical shit.

Hopefully we should get back with the results of that soon...when our fricking EMA comes in
